DIAMOND DRILLING

DIAMOND DRILLING & CORING

Diamond drilling involves the use of an electric or hydraulic rotary drill motor mounted on a
drill rig, equipped with a diamond-tipped core bit to cut through reinforced concrete and
other hard construction materials. Our rigs can drill vertical, horizontal, and angled cores and
come equipped for any situation of working, bringing our own water source, power, and
scaffolding towers so that we can core in the most isolated of areas.

Shepherd & Son’s work closely with contractors to core the desired channels that they need. Drilling techniques typically employ water flushing, creating a concrete slurry that can be vacuumed and contained, leaving little to no mess! The drilling process is fast, and precise, generating minimal dust and virtually no vibration, ensuring a smooth operation for both the operative and the structure.

Specialised coring sizes can be arranged with a variety of depths, so contact us for any specific questions on your diamond drilling needs.
